Accra

Accra is an extremely vibrant city with plenty to see and do to suit everyone's tastes. Getting around is easy, too, whether you choose to travel by private taxi or public tro-tro. If you'd rather walk, make sure to stay hydrated with the help of the city's numerous coconut stands or vendors all around.

Cape Coast

Cape Coast is located in Ghana’s Central Region, the location where many slaves were held before being shipped to the Americas. Its colonial history is an important focal point of pan-African history. It is also home to Kakum National Park, a forested parkland great for a day hike with fantastic views, especially from the wooden suspension bridges that soar a hundred feet overhead.

Togo

Next door to Ghana is the West African nation of Togo, known for its palm-lined beaches and hilltop villages. “For those fond of traveling off the beaten track, Togo is a rewarding destination. Its great diversity of landscapes ranges from lakes and palm-fringed beaches along the Atlantic coastline to the rolling forested hills in the center; heading further north, the mantle of lush forest is replaced by the light-green and yellowy tinges of savannah. It's an excellent playground for hikers – there's no better eco-friendly way to experience the country's natural beauty than on foot.” - LonelyPlanet.com

Greater Accra

The Greater Accra region surrounds Ghana’s capital city and is popular for its beaches along the Atlantic coast. Along the coast is Ada and the estuary of the great River Volta. Here the fine beaches of the estuary and the Atlantic coast provide popular resort areas. Watersports and river trips make this a great place to relax, while the waters off the coast teem with game fish.
